National Grid is seeking a Wayleaves Specialist based in Gloucester on a temporary basis for up to 12 months. You will negotiate consents, wayleaves and easements for distribution assets, settle damage claims, and design and survey for major overhead line schemes.
You may support tree cutting and staff training in estates matters. You should have or be working towards RICS accreditation or legal background, strong negotiation and communication skills, and a valid driving licence.
A temporary opportunity is available for a Wayleaves Specialist based in Gloucester for a period of up to 12 months subject to review. You will be accountable to the Team Manager for the provision of specialist estates and survey services to your own and other teams. Your main duties and responsibilities will be the negotiation of complex consents, wayleaves, easements, and agreements in respect of the location of distribution assets, to settle significant damage claims and to design, survey and prepare specifications for major overhead line schemes. You may also provide support in the management of the tree cutting program. In addition, you will be required to identify training needs of your own and other team members and provide training as necessary in estates and survey related Matters. Evidence of your qualifications will be required prior to appointment. Depending on experience, you may initially be appointed at a lower salary until all relevant courses and training are complete.
