Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a Land Records Specialist/Analyst to evaluate historical and current recordkeeping, identify improvements, train staff, and monitor compliance during the shift to fully digital records.

The role also oversees governance, process design, digitization, and data integrity across Land Acquisition, Land Engineering, Land Sales, and Land Management, with in-office presence four days weekly at the Atlanta office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Management, or related field.
  • At least five years of records management experience.
  • Thorough understanding of land records, property rights documents and surveys.
  • Knowledge of recordkeeping practices in hard copy and digital formats.
  • CRA certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of records management principles.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate recordkeeping.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to improve processes.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills for training staff.
  • Technical proficiency with data entry, EDM systems, and database navigation.
  • Ability to document and maintain procedures.
  • Customer service focus with urgency for improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Records governance & SME guidance for the Land Department.
  • Develop and maintain recordkeeping standards aligned with policies.
  • Provide guidance on records lifecycle requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Design and document recordkeeping workflows across multiple land functions.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for document intake, classification, indexing.
  • Identify gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Oversee transition from hybrid to fully digital records environment.
  • Coordinate digitization, including scanning standards and metadata accuracy.
  • Assist with organizing legacy records into digital formats.
  • Perform reviews to ensure records are accurate, audit-ready, and compliant.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Management, or a related field
At least five (5) years of records management experience
Thorough understanding of land records
Thorough knowledge of recordkeeping practices
CRA (Certified Records Analyst) certification
Knowledge of records management principles
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and presentation skills
Technical proficiency with software applications for data entry, electronic document management systems, and database navigation
Ability to document and maintain processes and procedures
Customer service focus with sense of urgency
