Position Overview

We are seeking several motivated Warehouse Clerks to join our team in Norfolk, VA on our Day shift.

Essential Functions

1. Operate forklift or use hand truck to move, convey or hoist equipment and parts throughout the warehouse and work areas.
2. Comply with all quality standards and policies.
3. Maintain a clean and safe work area, including cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas, and performing safety inspections.

Shipping

1. Accurate picking, packing, and shipment of various sized parts to support quick turnaround.
2. Fill orders by removing the correct parts from the shelf, identifying part numbers and proper quantities.
3. Determine shipment method and pack accordingly.
4. Count, weigh, measure, or examine packaging and contents for conformance to specifications.

Receiving

1. Receive and unpack merchandise and supplies, verifying accuracy of deliveries.
2. Perform general labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
3. Ensure proper location of merchandise and maintain organization and cleanliness of the production area.
4. Stock shelves by placing materials in appropriate locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work as part of a team.
• Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
• Basic computer skills helpful.
• Previous warehouse experience is a plus.

Working Conditions

Employees will frequently stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. The environment may be hot, cold, or dusty, and may involve exposure to high places.
