Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a Land Engineering Coordinator to manage and assign tasks for Land Engineering projects in Atlanta, GA, coordinating between engineering, surveying, and field teams. You will serve as the primary contact for clients, ensure adherence to schedules and budgets, and transfer knowledge to staff to maintain bench strength.

Qualified candidates will have a 4-year degree and significant experience in engineering, surveying, or project management, with licensure or progression

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in project management, construction management, civil engineering, surveying, real estate, or related field.
• PE or LS licensure or a minimum of 5 years of qualifying experience in engineering, surveying, project management or related field.
• PE, EIT, LS or LSIT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple Land Engineering projects simultaneously.
• Develop and maintain relationship across multiple groups and disciplines.
• Request survey and mapping support from assigned resources.
• Delegate task to the Land Engineering production team and field survey team, both company and contract personnel.
• Maintain client contact and attend project meetings; provide technical expertise to Land Engineering clients, understand the scope of work, and ensure that project schedules and budgets are met.
• Coordinate engineering, surveying, and mapping to ensure that expectations are met and that all applicable state, federal and industry standards are met.
• Review Land Engineering standards periodically to ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal and industry standards.
• Provide knowledge transfer to Land Engineering production staff to improve the bench strength of the organization and to ensure that projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Coordinate field surveying and mapping activities to ensure that project survey requirements are met in a manner consistent with schedules and all applicable standards.
