Job description

SIGNING BONUS AND RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE
You will work from our Rochester Hills office. If you live more than 120 miles from this office, we offer relocation assistance.

Typical Duties & Responsibilities

• Involved in the preparation of project drawings, calculations, and specifications, and will direct others on these items
• Prepares engineering analysis, design, calculations, and reports
• Evaluates land use and zoning requirements and is familiar with zoning ordinances and site plan approval processes.
• Prepares permit applications and is responsible for working through agency review processes and obtaining approvals.
• Makes occasional site visits during the construction phase of the work to assess progress and quality of construction.
• Works with dynamic design teams, including the owner/developer, architects, landscape architects, engineering trades, and contractors.
• Provides mentorship and training for junior staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred but not required)
• Minimum 3 years of design experience on land development projects
• Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience (Required)
• Professional engineering license (Preferred but not required)
• K-12 site design experience (Preferred but not required)
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and Office 360 products (Excel, Word, etc.)

Work Environment / Physical Demands

• Work in an office environment
• Attend client meetings and travel by car and/or plane if the project requires it
• Perform project site visits

Additional Information

• Job Type: Full-time, hybrid with three days per week required in the office after completion of probation period.
