Job summary

BL Companies is seeking a Project Engineer (Civil – Land Development) to contribute to and manage site development projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors from concept planning through construction documentation. The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree and has experience 3+ years.

The role requires an EIT certification, with PE preferred, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, plus strong technical, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 3+ years land development or civil site design experience.
• EIT certification required; PE licensure or progress toward licensure preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong technical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and contribute to project delivery timelines.

Responsibilities

• Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to develop detailed civil site designs for land development projects.
• Perform site layout and grading in compliance with local zoning and regulatory requirements.
• Design stormwater management, drainage, and erosion and sediment control systems.
• Research permit requirements and coordinate with local agencies to support project approvals.
• Prepare construction documents, technical reports, and entitlement packages.
• Perform earthwork calculations and drainage analysis.
• Support project permitting, approvals, and modifications during construction.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
