Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training with 2+ years of experience to join our Land Development team. This on-site role will involve site development engineering and project management for a variety of projects.

You'll perform site civil design, permitting, and use software including AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrology and storm drainage tools. Mentorship and training are provided to support professional growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with a civil engineering design firm.
• ABET-accredited BS or MS in Civil Engineering.
• Engineer-In-Training or Engineering Intern certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience/interest in Data Center projects preferred, but not required.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for a variety of projects.
• Complete site civil design, permitting, and applicable software applications including hydrology modeling program, storm drainage programs, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Projects will include a variety of land development site designs.
• Research, coordination, project management, staff management, cost estimating, permitting for land disturbance and preparation of bid packages as well as technical specifications.
• Mentorship and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions.
