Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Chamblee, GA office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 3+ years of experience to join our Land Development team. This on-site role involves site development engineering, project management, and permitting across diverse land development projects.

You will perform design using AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrology modeling, and storm drainage software, while receiving mentorship and opportunities to grow technical and client-facing skills within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil engineering design experience
• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree required (B.S. or M.S.)
• Engineer-In-Training or Engineering Intern certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
• Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D knowledge
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work with urgency to meet client deadlines
• Detail-oriented with positive work environment contribution
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for various projects
• Complete site civil design, permitting, and use of hydrology and storm drainage software
• Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D for site designs
• Assist with research, coordination, project management, staff mentoring, and cost estimation
• Support plan production, project financials, and client interactions
