Job Details:

We are seeking a seasoned Civil Engineer with a passion for innovative problem-solving and a keen eye for detail. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in the engineering industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, improving, and protecting our immediate environment. They will plan and oversee construction efforts at every stage of the project and work alongside other professionals to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency, a strong understanding of civil design, design engineering, and land development, and a commitment to staying current with industry advancements.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed architectural plans for various construction projects, including roads, bridges, sewage systems, and water treatment plants.
  • Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, etc.) to plan and design projects.
  • Assess potential risks, materials, and costs to provide feasible project solutions.
  • Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Manage the repair, maintenance, and replacement of public and private infrastructure.
  • Ensure project feasibility through continual evaluation of structural integrity and design practicality.
  • Collaborate with designers, contractors, and other professionals on large-scale projects.
  • Use design software to plan and design transportation systems, hydraulic systems, and structures in line with industry and government standards.
  • Perform or oversee soil testing to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations.
  • Perform or oversee surveying operations to establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in the use of civil design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BIM, or other related software.
  • Comprehensive understanding of civil design, design engineering, and land development.
  • Proven project management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent mathematical, IT, and analytical skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize and plan effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information to a range of audiences.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully managing complex projects from conception to completion.
