Join to apply for the Land Development Designer role at Kimley-Horn

Our Charlotte, North Carolina (NC) office is looking for a Civil Operator or Designer with 8+ years of experience to join our Development Services team!

Responsibilities
  1. Implement and manage drafting and plan preparation standards
  2. Develop technical drawings and plans
  3. Make and quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity; perform some multifaceted calculations
  4. Perform tasks with minimal supervision
  5. Apply engineering principles and suggest design changes
  6. Maintain drawing database
  7. Supervise and train CAD staff
  8. Coordinate work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control
  9. Familiarize with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards
Qualifications
  1. 8+ years of relevant experience
  2. High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred)
  3. Ability to manage printing/plotting settings
  4. Proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products
  5. Strong work ethic, communication skills, and willingness to learn
  6. Ability to work independently and in a team
  7. Mentoring and teaching skills
  8. Detail-oriented with a professional attitude
