Job summary

DCCM is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Inspector to oversee land development sites in Texas, including grading, drainage, utilities, paving, and erosion control. You will verify plans against field conditions, document inspections, and coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and local agencies.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in civil construction inspection, strong plan-reading skills, and knowledge of civil codes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in civil construction inspection, land development or site infrastructure.
• Familiarity with local/state civil codes and standards (stormwater, ADA, DOT specs).
• Ability to read civil plans, drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication with contractors and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections for site development projects (grading, drainage, utilities).
• Ensure work follows approved plans, permits and codes.
• Monitor contractor performance and document deficiencies.
• Maintain daily inspection reports and photo logs.

Education

High school diploma

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
