Job summary

Qualifications

• 2–20 years of civil engineering experience, land development focus preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• EIT or PE preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software.
• Knowledge of local and state land development standards and permitting processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Senior-level candidates should have project/client management experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop civil engineering plans for land development projects.
• Prepare site layouts, grading and drainage plans, utility plans, and erosion control plans.
• Perform stormwater management and drainage calculations.
• Assist with permitting and coordination with local municipalities and regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate with surveyors, architects, landscape architects, and other engineering disciplines.
• Review plans, specifications, and technical documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with project scheduling, budgets, and client coordination as experience level allows.
• Conduct site visits and provide construction support as needed.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff for more experienced candidates.
