Job summary

Kier & Wright Civil Engineers and Surveyors in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Project Engineer II (Land Development). You will support project teams, design and prepare technical plans, and collaborate with technicians to finalize civil drawings for grading, drainage, utilities and street improvements.

Requires a Civil Engineering degree with 5+ years in land development, CA EIT or PE, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; Bluebeam and hydraulics software are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in land development.
• EIT or PE CA certification.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; familiarity with Bluebeam, Hydrology/Hydraulic software.

Responsibilities

• Carries out tasks assigned by the Project Lead and engineering team.
• Develops working drawings for civil design plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D (grading, drainage, utility, stormwater management and street frontage improvements).
• Uses engineering judgment to perform duties and knows when to ask questions or perform independent research.
• Manages personal time to meet obligations of one or more projects.
