We are currently searching for a talented Civil Engineer I to join and grow with our Civil team, in the Fredericksburg Texas area! We are eager to engage with 2025 Spring graduates now and move forward with the ideal candidate to start in May/June 2025 at the soonest.

Your options as a civil engineer are endless at SEH. You’ll engineer better communities -- complete streets, safer sidewalks, more sustainable utilities, and trails and parks. Others specialize in large-scale projects, like flood control facilities, dams, landfills, harbors/marinas, structural retaining walls and larger geotechnical projects. Regardless of the project, you’ll have your hands in the mix through all phases of a project: planning, pre-design, design, contract documentation, bidding and construction. This Opportunity:

• Hands on training for a 2025 Civil Engineer Graduate
• Developing Conceptual Project ideas and layouts
• Project Design and implementation to Construction
• Fostering and starting to build strong client relationships
• Provide analysis and design of municipal and private infrastructure for roadways, site improvements, water distribution, and sewer collection pipelines
• Design responsibilities will include layout, grading, plan and profile, and details.
• This position may also serve as a Field Engineer during construction of various projects.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc. Occasional overnight travel will be required
• Basic skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar civil design software
• Ability to drive in to the Fredericksburg, TX area as needed for office visits or construction oversite
• Graduating with a bachelor's in civil in the spring of 2025
• Interest in Civil Municipal and Land Development Projects

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Previous internship experience working on Municipal or Land Development projects
