Make a difference as a Land Design Engineer

As a Land Design Engineer at Gilmore and Associates, your day-to-day expectations include collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative land design solutions. You will conduct site evaluations, analyze project requirements, and prepare detailed designs while adhering to industry standards. Daily tasks will involve utilizing advanced engineering software for drafting and modeling, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all deliverables. You will participate in project meetings, providing insights and updates while maintaining effective communication with clients and stakeholders.

1. Project Design:
   1. Designs site layout, access, grading, erosion control, stormwater management, utilities, etc.
   2. Design, analyze, and develop construction plans, specifications, stormwater reports, including calculations and cost estimates in accordance with "Philadelphia Water Department Standards."
   3. Coordinates project design requirements with staff, other departments and subconsultants.
   4. Reviews work of self and others for conformance with project work plan and company design standards.
   5. Interacts with municipal, county and state officials including Philadelphia Streets, Water, Planning, as well as municipal boards, PADEP, PennDOT, County Conservation Districts, etc.
2. Project Administration:
   1. Maintains project records including email, correspondence, submissions, permits, plans, client and agency directives, basis of design information, construction phase records, etc.
   2. Reviews budget status with project manager.

Essential Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related area
2. EIT plus 4-5 years of experience is required. PE would be a plus.
3. 4+ years of Land Development or equivalent experience
4. Registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania
