Land Conservation Crew Members (Eastern Plains)

Position title: Land Conservation Crew Members (Eastern Plains)

Type of Position: Corpsmember (Crew)

Location: Eastern Plains, Colorado

Project/Program Focus: Forestry/Tree Management

This program is part of the Mile High Youth Corps, a nonprofit that provides paid work experience for youth ages 18‑24. Corpsmembers earn a stipend and a scholarship while completing community‑based environmental projects on public lands.

Position Description

The role is team‑based, lasting 11 or 13 weeks. Corpsmembers will receive First Aid/CPR training and additional training in stewardship skillsets such as S‑212 Wildland Fire Chainsaw operation (required for sawyers), trail building and maintenance, habitat restoration, park development, and historic preservation.

  • Participate in First Aid/CPR training and apply safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed.
