Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field; or senior admin with 5+ years land admin exp and knowledge of land titles and legal docs.
  • Ability to interpret legal plans, title documents, agreements, engineering drawings and land ownership records.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and land management applications; familiarity with Oracle is preferred.
  • Proven interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills in deadline-driven environments.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and improve land management systems (geoAMPS); test, troubleshoot, report, train, and enhance processes.
  • Manage lease, easement, permit, license, and agreement payments with proper controls.
  • Maintain accuracy of land records and rights-of-way docs; oversee filing systems (electronic and physical).
  • Perform financial administration: invoice processing, reconciliations, variance analysis, journal vouchers, budgeting support.
  • Conduct title searches and ownership investigations to support planners, legal teams, and acquisitions.
  • Support operations via workload intake, vendor setup, SharePoint admin, reporting, training docs, and regulatory notices.

What You Will Do:
  • Administer and continuously improve land management systems, including geoAMPS, through testing, troubleshooting, reporting, training, and process enhancement initiatives.
  • Manage lease, easement, permit, license, and agreement payments, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, financial controls, and accounting requirements.
  • Maintain the accuracy of land records, rights-of-way documentation, permits, and agreements while overseeing electronic and physical filing systems.
  • Perform financial administration activities, including invoice processing, monthly reconciliations, variance analysis, journal voucher reviews, and budget support.
  • Conduct title searches and land ownership investigations to support planners, customer connection projects, legal teams, and land acquisition activities.
  • Support departmental operations through workload intake management, vendor setup, SharePoint administration, reporting, training documentation, and regulatory notice management.
Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree, diploma, professional land certification, and limited land administration experience, OR a senior level administrator with 5+ years of land administration experience with knowledge of land titles, land acquisition processes, and legal documentation.
  • Ability to interpret legal plans, title documents, agreements, engineering drawings, and land ownership records.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and land management applications; familiarity with Oracle is preferred.
  • Proven interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills with the ability to build relationships and manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Working Conditions:
  • Office environment.
  • Limited travel (<5%) to other office locations in Canada.
  • Stress levels can be above normal as project work is deadline-oriented and effective time management is required.
Salary:
  • Ranges from $63,000 - $83,000 CAD for Ontario locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.
  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
