Job summary

King County is seeking a Land Acquisition Project Specialist (Real Property Agent III) to guide property rights and relocation activities for the Capital Program. The role focuses on managing acquisition processes, consultant coordination, and regulatory compliance with the Uniform Act and state laws.

Qualifications

• Experience applying 49 CFR Part 24 Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition policies.
• Ability to develop right-of-way strategies, schedules, and plans for timely delivery of real property requirements.
• Excellent written communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
• Experience managing consultants, project schedules, and delivery of right-of-way deliverables on large capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire property acquisition and relocation process for multiple capital projects.
• Develop and manage project schedules, track deliverables, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review and negotiate real estate transactions, deeds, easements, leases, permits, and licenses.
• Coordinate relocation plans, benefits, and compliance with relocation assistance processes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to strategize property rights delivery and project communications.
• Utilize tools like SharePoint and Excel to document and report progress.
