Job Summary

We are seeking a Land Acquisition Manager to join our Land Acquisition team. The role involves acquiring land for utility-scale solar projects, including supporting infrastructure such as easements and access agreements. The candidate should be adaptable, knowledgeable about US power markets and renewables, and capable of supporting projects from multiple angles. Excellent communication, technical skills, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. A passion for renewable energy is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with landowners, negotiate surface agreements supporting project development
  • Manage transaction processes with Development and Legal teams
  • Support third-party relationships, especially with attorneys on contracts
  • Maintain detailed activity and status reports
  • Identify and communicate land-related risks to project teams
  • Travel up to 70% as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Energy Management, or related field
  • 8+ years of land acquisition experience, with at least 3 years in utility-scale site acquisition
  • Experience in the renewable energy industry preferred
  • Knowledge of land ownership, mineral rights, and property research
  • Strong negotiation skills, especially with corporate landowners
  • Understanding of real estate contracts and legal provisions
  • Familiarity with project development phases
  • Proficiency in MS Office; CRM and GIS experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
