Job summary

Century Complete is seeking a Land Acquisition Analyst to support identifying land opportunities aligned with our division strategy. You will research markets, analyze data from MLS and external sources, and assist in preparing market studies and proformas for potential land investments.

The role emphasizes GIS and Google Earth usage, data organization, and cross-team collaboration, with a remote-friendly environment and a focus on timely due diligence and underwriting activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or Construction or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the construction industry or a similar role.
  • Real estate or market research experience and knowledge of residential construction/land brokerage preferred.
  • MS Office, Google Earth, GIS proficiency required.

Responsibilities

  • Support Regional and Divisional teams in analyzing land prospects.
  • Extract and analyze data from MLS, company databases, Metrostudy, Land Vision, Zonda, and other sites.
  • Assist in preparing market study data and due diligence analyses.
  • Help develop proformas, valuations, and underwriting for land investments.
  • Track due diligence, takedowns, closings, and changes in projects.
  • Prepare lot committee presentations and supporting docs.
  • Maintain accurate land files, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Use GIS and Google Earth to research land opportunities.
  • Communicate with departments about land positions and dates.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Job description

The Land Acquisition Analyst assists with identifying new land acquisition opportunities that align with the Division's land strategy and business plan goals. Conduct research, provide analysis and manage land data to maximize the profit of existing and proposed land assets.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Support Regional and Divisional teams in analyzing land prospects.
  • Extract and analyze data from various sources, including the MLS, company databases, Metrostudy, Land Vision, Zonda, and other external websites.
  • Assist the Land Acquisition Team in preparing market study data.
  • Review and analyze due diligence information for potential land assets.
  • Assists in developing proformas, valuations, and underwriting for potential land investments.
  • Track critical date timelines for due diligence, takedowns, closings, and changes within new and existing projects.
  • Assist with the preparation of lot committee presentations and supporting documentation.
  • Keep accurate land files, spreadsheets, and databases to track land positions.
  • Utilize GIS, Google Earth, and other sources to research potential land acquisition opportunities
  • Communicate with various departments, divisions, and regions on land positions and critical dates.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, google earth, GIS.

Your Education and Experience:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or Construction or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the construction industry or a similar role.
  • Real estate or market research experience and professional knowledge of the residential construction and land brokerage industry are highly preferred.
