Job summary

TMS International is hiring for a Burner/Lancer at our Braddock, PA location. The role requires operating a five-foot torch to cut large metal pieces, with a schedule of 2PM-10PM or 10PM-6AM, Monday through Friday. Pay is $25.90 per hour. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits after 90 days.

Candidates should have prior torch-cutting experience, the ability to work in hot environments wearing PPE, and a commitment to safety. Transportation to work is required.

Qualifications

• Experience using a torch to cut in an industrial setting is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work in hot environments wearing PPE including hard hat, face shield, and leather gloves.
• Evidence of a steady work history and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Use a five-foot-long torch to cut large unprocessed metal into three-foot pieces.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain conscientious work habits.
• Operate in a hot environment while wearing multiple layers of fire-protective clothing and PPE.
• Demonstrate reliability and punctuality in daily work.
• Transport to and from work reliably.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.

TMS is currently looking for a Burner/Lancer at our Braddock, PA location.

Pay: $25.90 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday 2PM - 10PM or 10PM to 6AM

Key Responsibilities

• Previous experience using a torch to cut in an industrialized setting strongly preferred.
• This job entails using a five foot long torch to cut large unprocessed metal down too three foot pieces.
• Conscientious, safety oriented work habits
• Evidence of a steady work history
• To work in a hot environment for long periods of time while wearing several layers of fire protective clothing and other Personal Protective Equipment "PPE" including hard hat, face shield, and leather gloves.
• Reliable transportation to get to and from work.
• Briquetting experience is a plus
