Five Rivers Analytics is seeking a LAN Communications Technician to work in New Boston, NH. Join our team of professionals and contribute to maintaining secure and efficient LAN communication systems at a United States Space Force installation.

Responsibilities

1. Technical Support: Provide frontline support for LAN systems, VOIP phones, and software applications, troubleshooting technologies including Cisco, Juniper, fiber backbone, and communication devices.
2. Network Administration: Manage Active Directory, server configurations, software installations, and security patches, collaborating with DISA, AFNET, AFCED as the local ISO.
3. Cybersecurity: Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, conduct assessments, and implement controls per DoD directives and NIST standards.
4. Problem-Solving: Work with IT teams to resolve issues and improve systems.
5. Regulatory Adherence: Follow DoD regulations and protocols for handling CUI.
6. Professional Development: Pursue ongoing training on emerging technologies and cybersecurity practices.
7. Additional Responsibilities: Develop disaster recovery plans, manage vendor relations, monitor network performance, and develop security policies.
8. User Training and Documentation: Conduct cybersecurity training and maintain network documentation.
9. Technology Evaluation: Keep abreast of LAN communication trends and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD SECRET clearance.
• Certifications: CompTIA Security, Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP.
• At least one year of IT support experience, including LAN and cybersecurity.
• Strong networking knowledge and experience with various IT technologies.
• Experience with Active Directory, VOIP, and network monitoring tools.
• Self-motivated, proactive, with strong communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift 40-50 lbs.

Desired Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a tech field; master's preferred.
• Certifications: Cisco, Microsoft, Net+, cybersecurity, DoD IAM Level 2+ (e.g., CySA, CASP, CCNA, CISSP).
• Experience installing and repairing network infrastructure.
• Previous DoD or military experience.
