Job summary

Interstate Packaging is seeking a Laminator Operator to set up and operate designated laminating equipment, ensure product quality, and train new employees. The role requires adherence to safety, GMP, and production procedures across the shift.

The position involves reading production orders, performing quality checks, and assisting in setup for subsequent jobs while maintaining a clean, safe work area and effective communication with supervision and team members.

Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing or mechanical experience required.
• Must be able to see true color; not colorblind.
• Basic math and ability to read a tape measure.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and handle heavy parts.
• Willingness to work shift work.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures (PPE, ergonomics, chemical hazards).
• Read and understand job jackets/orders.
• Establish and follow quality checks in the pressroom.
• Communicate with supervisor and management.
• Assist in setup for next job (loading rolls, etc.).
• Keep laminator area clean and safe; report issues promptly.
