Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • One or more years of assembly experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Reading/comprehension, speaking and writing in English at 9th grade equivalency level.
  • Ability to complete written forms, read routine procedures and correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare equipment for operation by making equipment adjustments and loading or changing materials.
  • Read, interpret, understand and efficiently perform multiple assembly operations by following work instructions, safety guidelines and other organizational policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Install parts such as hatches, marine hardware, metal trim, seats and windshields using hand tools and portable power tools.
  • Cut or grind mounting bases or brackets, using portable electric saws and grinders, and bolt or screw them in place.
  • May grind interior and exterior contours of hull to remove burrs and rough edges, using portable grinder.
  • Follow established assembly processes and do not deviate without proper written approval from management.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Environmental and Working Conditions
