Job summary

SkyWater Technology in Florida is seeking a Process Development Engineer to own and develop the Lamination area within our Advanced Packaging product line. You will lead, develop, and improve integrated process flows and collaborate with foundry customers, colleagues, and management.

Strong communication and data‑driven improvements are essential. The ideal candidate has 0–2 years of fab processing experience in semiconductor or advanced packaging, with knowledge of DOE, SPC, and Six Sigma

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or STEM required; equivalent technical experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead new laminations process development, transfer and integration in a manufacturing environment.
• Develop and optimize manufacturable lamination process recipes for Foundry customers.
• Own the assigned lamination module, ensuring process stability, tool performance, defectivity control, and continuous improvement.
• Support process integration for advanced packaging, MEMS, or backend‑of‑line device flows.
• Use metrology and characterization tools to evaluate processes and drive improvements.
• Investigate and implement changes to improve device performance, reliability and yield.
• Collaborate with process and equipment engineers to identify marginalities and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor inline and end‑of‑line SPC charts and drive data‑based corrective actions.
• Assist in improving electrical test parameters through process/integration changes.
• Opportunity to grow toward Project Management responsibilities.
