Job summary

SOLACE Boats in Edgewater, FL seeks a Lamination Manager to lead our fiberglass lamination department and drive growth. You’ll own daily operations from gelcoat to resin infusion and lead a skilled team to deliver high-quality hulls.

This full-time, on-site role requires hands-on leadership, a safety-first mindset, and a proven track record of developing production teams. You’ll partner with design and engineering to ensure new models come together from day one.

Qualifications

• Real experience in fiberglass/composite lamination for boat building.
• Track record of leading a production team.
• Deep knowledge of gelcoat, lay-up, spray-up, and infusion processes; safety-first mindset.
• Strong problem-solving skills to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day of our lamination shop - gelcoat, hand lay-up, spray-up, resin infusion, all of it
• Lead, coach, and grow a team of skilled lamination technicians
• Keep quality, safety, and production humming so every hull and component meets the SOLACE standard
• Partner with our design and engineering team to make sure new models come together the right way from day one
• Drive smarter processes, less waste, and better first-pass quality
• Be a hands-on leader who's out on the floor, not just behind a desk

Dougherty Manufacturing is looking for a Lamination Manager to lead our fiberglass lamination department and help drive the next chapter of growth for SOLACE Boats. If you know composites inside and out and love leading a team on the shop floor, this is your shot to make a real impact on every hull that rolls out of our facility.
