Job description

Join to apply for the Lamination Machine Operator - 3rd Shift role at Atlas Roofing Corporation.

Atlas Molded Products is seeking a Lamination Associate - 3rd Shift for the Byron Center, MI facility.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Report to the manager at shift start for direction for the day.
  2. Understand manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements, and departmental procedures.
  3. Inspect and package parts according to specifications and record information on in-process sheets.
  4. Cut, bundle, wrap, stack, pack, assemble, and label materials per instructions.
  5. Operate or assist with machinery such as laminators, embossers, routers, and wrapping equipment.
  6. Verify equipment setup; operate and shut down manufacturing equipment.
  7. Maintain productivity and ensure final products meet quality and specifications.
  8. Keep work area clean and organized.
  9. Operate Re-Grinding equipment to recycle EPS, if qualified.
  10. Perform other assigned functions and responsibilities.
  11. Be trained and familiar with safety and quality systems, with verification by supervisor within 2 months.
  12. Maintain regular attendance.
Experience
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environment is helpful.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Problem solving and critical thinking are desirable.
  • Basic math, counting, and use of hand-held measuring tools required.
  • Fluency in English preferred.
Education, Licenses & Certifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
