Job summary

CP Flex Pack is seeking a Lamination Operator to safely and efficiently run a SOLVENTLESS laminator, producing high-quality rolls that meet customer specs. You will load/unload rolls, interpret orders and SOPs, and log production data using the GT computer system.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, basic math and computer skills, and strong attention to detail. The position runs 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, with a potential pay increase after 90 days based on

Responsibilities

  • Operate SAL (solventless-adhesive-laminator).
  • Load and unload printed and non-printed rolls on Laminator.
  • Interpret and follow orders, SOPs and print tickets.
  • Secure finished rolls to pallets per SOP.
  • Operate air-powered pumps and handle solvents/adhesives safely.
  • Assemble glue components and hoses as needed.
  • Maintain clean work area and log production data.
  • Follow safety requirements and SOPs.

  • We are looking for a Lamination Operator to join our team. The hours for this position will be 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday.
  • Eligible for a pay increase after 90 days with favorable performance.
Job Summary

To operate a Solventless Laminator safely, efficiently, productively while producing a quality product in accordance to company and customer specifications.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
  • Operate SAL (solventless-adhesive-laminator)
  • Load and unload printed and non-printed rolls on Laminator with the assistance of lifting carts and hoist.
  • Interpret and understand written information, (Orders, SOP’s, print roll tickets, etc.)
  • Secure finished laminated rolls to pallet with wood chucks and straps securely and to SOP instructions.
  • Operate air powered pumps
  • Safe handling of solvents and adhesives
  • Assemble glue assembly and hoses as needs
  • Able to start up machine from a complete shut down
  • Able to clean machine up and put into a complete shut down
  • Read and interpret manufacturing spec’s (M-Spec)
  • Enter accurate information into computer and on production papers for SQF compliant and tracking.
  • Use GT computer system to log production information including printing out and attach accurate labels to finished laminated rolls.
  • Attach proper information to unused raw material
  • Keep machine and surrounding area safe and clean
  • Spot and be able to determine visual defects quickly within 10 minutes of running
  • Follow all Safety requirements (i.e. lifting, cutting, clothing, etc.)
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Complete tasks in adequate time limits, as to meet daily goal and schedule needs.
  • Complies with all general Company-wide standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and any job or department specific SOP’s.
    • SOP’s may cover the areas of (but are not limited to)
      • Employee Health and Safety
      • SQF (Safe Quality Food packager) and GMP (good manufacturing procedures) focused on eliminating contaminates in all packaging manufactured.
      • SGP (Sustainable Green Printer) environmental regulatory procedures and SOP’s
  • Must work within productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner.
  • Special Projects & other duties as necessary
Qualifications

  • Must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality of information to Company and Federal standards.

  • Must be dependable and work within Company conduct standards; consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
Physical Demands
  • Lifting ability, up to 50 lbs. consistently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Bending

  • Extensive use of hands and fingers
  • Extensive time on feet walking/standing
  • Use of ladder (if needed)
  • Use of PC and keyboard for data entry
  • Ability to complete production paperwork
Working Conditions
  • Working 10-hour shifts 4x a week
  • Work around solvent/ink/glue fumes/other solvents used in printing manufacturing.
  • Work in tight places at random times
  • Follow all safety regulations and rules at all times, including wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE):
    • Steel tip boots or shoes
    • Gloves
    • Back Belt
    • Hearing protection
    • Safety glasses
      • No contact lenses
  • Cut resistant gloves/solvent gloves
  • Hairnets and beard nets
  • This position is a “safety sensitive” position. Individuals in this position are required to submit to post-incident drug and alcohol testing.
