Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a Laminated Windshield Materials Testing Specialist to verify quality and performance of automotive glass through laboratory evaluations. You will collect samples, execute standardized tests, and analyze outputs to drive decisions with strong attention to detail.

The role requires 1+ year of lab testing, knowledge of ANSI standards, and proficiency in Word/Excel. Expect a structured schedule with potential weekends, and a safety-driven culture supporting professional

Qualifications

• 1+ year of hands-on laboratory testing experience.
• Proven knowledge of ANSI standards and familiarity with European and Asian market standards.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Comfort interpreting and executing test specifications; understanding of tempered glass and windshield standards.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain test logs/results/data and craft reports for stakeholders.
• Works well with minimal supervision and surfaces key trends from data.

Responsibilities

• Collect windshield samples and cut them to produce standardized test specimens.
• Prepare and execute body glass fragmentation tests.
• Perform analysis across distortion, moisture, pummel, light transmission, boil, ball drop, and opacity for windshield parts.
• Conduct robustness testing when required.
• Test the water softener system for each windshield line.
• Complete follow-up testing on non-compliant product.
• Carry out additional testing for European and Asian market parts.
