Job summary

Nucor Corporation's Blytheville, AR operation seeks a Ladle Person Assistant to support the Melt Shop. You will assist the team with safe and accurate operations and maintenance of ladles in process and/or LMF, requiring clear communications with teammates and contractors as needed.

This position works in an extremely hot environment and will include nights, weekends, holidays, and shift coverage. Safety is the top priority; you will be expected to uphold safety policies, housekeeping standards,

Qualifications

• 6 months of refractory or Melt Shop experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team with safe and accurate operations and/or maintenance of all ladles in process and/or LMF.
• Communicate clearly with Melt Shop teammates and, at times, contractors.
• Support the Ladle Person in all areas of responsibility; work in a hot environment.
• Work nights, weekends, holidays, and cover shifts when needed.
• Uphold safety policies, housekeeping standards and participate in safety initiatives.
