Job summary

Hilmar Cheese Company is seeking a Functional Products Operator to lead the production of lactoferrin, an advanced dairy ingredient. The role focuses on producing lactoferrin in liquid form, drying, packaging and preparing it for delivery to customers.

You will work with milk receiving, understand milk components, and ensure efficient Dia Filtration operations. The position requires 12-hour shifts, strong attention to food safety, and teamwork with training initiatives throughout shifts and on

Qualifications

• English proficiency to understand, read, write and speak.
• Must be able to work 12-hour variable shifts, including weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 60lbs.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Milk receiving supervisors for milk availability and milk components accuracy.
• Understand milk components and efficiency with Dia Filtration units.
• Communicate issues to the production team.
• Lactoferrin Operator may not work in other areas on the same shift.
• Maintain flexibility in day-to-day tasks and multitask under pressure.
• Know and apply the CIP program.
