Job summary

Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center (SJHMC) in Phoenix, AZ seeks an RN Lactation Professional to empower new parents and promote optimal infant nutrition. You will provide evidence-based education, assessment, and individualized support prenatally and postpartum, addressing feeding challenges and developing personalized care plans.

You will collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and lactation consultants to ensure integrated care, applying deep clinical knowledge, empathy, and patience

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona (AZ).
• IBCLC certification required.
• ACLS/BLS/NRP certifications preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience with breastfeeding mothers in maternal child health setting.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based education, assessment and individualized lactation support prenatally and postpartum.
• Address feeding challenges and develop personalized care plans for families.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses and lactation consultants to ensure integrated care.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an RN Lactation Professional , you will be a compassionate expert, empowering new parents to achieve their lactation goals and promoting optimal infant nutrition.

Every day, you will provide evidence-based education, assessment, and individualized support prenatally and postpartum. You'll address feeding challenges, develop personalized care plans, and collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure integrated support.

To be successful in this role, you will possess deep clinical knowledge, exceptional communication, empathy, and patience, adapting strategies to individual needs for successful infant feeding and improved health outcomes.

Job Requirements

Minimum:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Registered Nurse AZ
• Minimum of one (1) year experience with breastfeeding mothers in maternal child health setting
• American Heart Association
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)
• IBCLC Certification

Preferred:

• Bachelors Of Science (BSN)
• Two (2) years maternal child health nursing experience
