Job summary

Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ seeks a compassionate RN Lactation Professional to empower new parents and promote optimal infant nutrition through evidence-based education, assessment, and individualized support.

You will coordinate care with obstetrics and pediatrics, develop personalized feeding plans, address challenges, and advocate for patients’ goals while upholding the highest standards of safety and empathy.

Qualifications

• Must be an RN with AZ license.
• Minimum of one year experience with breastfeeding mothers in maternal child health.
• BLS and NRP certifications required (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based lactation education and support prenatally and postpartum.
• Assess breastfeeding progress and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with obstetric and pediatric teams to ensure integrated care.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an RN Lactation Professional, you will be a compassionate expert, empowering new parents to achieve their lactation goals and promoting optimal infant nutrition.

Every day, you will provide evidence-based education, assessment, and individualized support prenatally and postpartum. You'll address feeding challenges, develop personalized care plans, and collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure integrated support.

To be successful in this role, you will possess deep clinical knowledge, exceptional communication, empathy, and patience, adapting strategies to individual needs for successful infant feeding and improved health outcomes.

Job Requirements

Minimum:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Registered Nurse AZ
• Minimum of one (1) year experience withbreastfeeding mothers in maternal child health setting
• American Heart Association
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)

Preferred:

• Bachelors Of science (BSN)
• Two (2) years maternal child health nursing experience
