Job summary

St. Catherine's School in Richmond, VA seeks JV and Middle School lacrosse coaches to join an established program with support from our Varsity staff. Head and assistant positions available.

Typical practices are 3:45 pm–5:30 pm on weekdays; season runs from late February through early May. Supervision by the Director of Athletics and Strategic Partnerships; salaried, exempt, seasonal role. Requires high school diploma and lacrosse experience; CPR/First Aid certification encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Have lacrosse playing and/or coaching experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead lacrosse practices, training sessions, and competitions.
• Teach and reinforce lacrosse skills, game strategies, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and travel in accordance with school policies.
• Create a positive, inclusive and developmentally appropriate team environment reflecting the school’s mission and values.
• Prepare and manage practice plans, game strategies, lineups, and other team activities.
• Set a tone of professionalism among coaches, athletes, and parents.
