Job summary

Denison University in Granville, Ohio invites applications for an Assistant Coach role. The position supports the Head Coach in managing athletic functions, coaching student-athletes, and driving recruiting efforts from outreach through campus visits.

The role includes coordinating travel, analyzing opponents, and creating program content to boost alumni engagement while promoting the team and the university.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Driver’s License required.
• Preferred Master’s Degree.

Responsibilities

• Assists Head Coach with practice and game planning.
• Develops training sessions for Denison athletes and provides feedback.
• Develops strategy for future opponents and analyzes film and creates scouting reports.
• Recruits prospective student-athletes and communicates via email, phone, and in-person at recruiting events.
• Arranges travel plans and itineraries for the team including hotel reservations, meals, equipment, and practice schedule.
• Updates and maintains social media content.
• Posts stories and videos to engage the audience for the sport.
• Monitors student-athletes’ academic progress.
• Reinforces team and University rules and expectations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
