Job summary

Denison University is seeking an Assistant Head Coach to support the Head Coach in managing all administrative and athletic functions of a competitive collegiate program. You will help set team rules, mentor student-athletes, and drive recruiting from outreach through campus visits.

The role also covers coordinating travel, conducting film analysis and opponent scouting, and creating program content to engage alumni and promote the team and Denison University.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 5+ years of playing experience.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of coaching and/or recruiting experience at collegiate level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and Player Development - Coordinate all aspects of either defense or offense and assist the Head Coach with practice planning, player development, and system implementation. Review all practice and game film to inform player assessments and evaluations.
• Recruiting Coordinator – Coordinate the recruiting process in alignment with the Head Coach’s goals.
• Opponent Scouting - Prepare scouting reports and game prep materials; provide final quality control.
• Social Media Coordinator – Create and execute the program’s annual social media calendar.
