Job summary

The role requires 5+ years of LabVIEW experience, strong documentation skills, and the ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance. On-site work supports diverse test operations from benchtop to large industrial stands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or physics or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years' LabVIEW development and test system integration experience.
• Experience coordinating LabVIEW with PLC-controlled systems.
• Experience supporting both small-scale and large-scale automated test stands.
• Experience designing and validating automated test stands or instrumentation systems.
• Excellent technical communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain LabVIEW applications for high-speed data acquisition and real-time control.
• Design bridges between LabVIEW and PLC platforms for interlocks, alarms, and I/O management.
• Collaborate with PLC engineers to align LabVIEW with system logic.
• Prepare wiring diagrams, loop sheets, channel maps, and system documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors and generate technical reports.
• Implement software configuration management for LabVIEW, FPGA, and test automation code.
• Lead automation initiatives using Python, MATLAB, and AI-supported processes.
• Mentor junior engineers across multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide design, troubleshooting, and commissioning support across multiple test stands.
