Job summary

Cyient Limited in Irvine, CA is seeking a LabVIEW Engineer with an electrical background to join our hardware team. The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of hands-on experience with electronic systems, circuit design, analysis, integration, testing and debugging.

You will read and design schematics, develop LabVIEW test VIs and sequences, and support production by maintaining power and control systems. Strong problem solving and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree required.
• Minimum 5+ years in electronic systems and circuit design.
• Ability to design/read schematics, circuits and interconnect diagrams.
• Experience with LabVIEW test development and hardware testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and read electrical schematics, circuits, subsystems and interconnects.
• Support production by designing/maintaining electrical power and control systems.
• Develop test plans and reports; present data to engineers and customers.
• Create/update LabVIEW test VI's and test sequences.
• Troubleshoot digital and analog circuits; perform root-cause investigations.

Job Description:

BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.

5+ years related experience with electronic systems and circuit design, analysis, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.

Ability to read and design electronic schematics, circuits, subsystems, and interconnect diagrams.

Supports production line by designing or maintaining electrical power and control systems.

Experience with digital and analog circuit design and troubleshooting.

Experienced in root cause investigation and corrective action.

Experience with NI LabView, create/update test VI's, and test sequences.

Experience with the use of standard test equipment such as oscilloscope, DMM, function generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.

Writes test plans/reports, presents data to other engineers, other departments, and internal/external customers as required.

Works independently and also cooperatively with interdepartmental teams.
