Job summary

Domtar is recruiting for entry-level labouring positions at Howe Sound Pulp & Paper Corporation. The role includes housekeeping, equipment operation and other mill duties, with a 24/7 operation and a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.

Wage starts at $37.20/hr with PPE provided and a comprehensive benefits package including extended health, dental and pension. Applicants will go through aptitude tests, reference checks and panel interviews.

Howe Sound Pulp & Paper Corporation is currently recruiting for entry level labouring positions. Labour pool employees may be assigned to all areas of the mill as needed. The position is responsible for a variety of job activities, including but not limited to housekeeping, equipment operation, and other general mill duties as assigned or required. The duties depend on the priority of the assignments. A successful applicant must be willing and able to meet the demands of a 24/7 operation, including working a 12-hour rotating shift which includes weekends and holidays. This is a bargaining unit position with a starting wage rate of $37.20/hr and applicable shift premiums. All PPE will be provided.
