Responsibilities include performing deliveries, gynecologic procedures, ED coverage, midwife backup services, and antepartum/postpartum rounding. The Laborist also provides care for unassigned OB/GYN patients presenting to the Emergency Room and supports the antenatal service as needed.**Compensation Pay Range:**$153.00 - $200.00* **Clinical Responsibilities** + Maintains continuous in-house presence and availability to the Birthing Unit throughout the entire assigned shift + Functions as an integral member of the health system OB team, providing coverage and collaborative support + Performs deliveries, including both vaginal and cesarean births, and performs and assists with gynecologic procedures as indicated + Provides backup support for certified nurse midwives and advanced practice providers as needed + Conducts antepartum and postpartum patient rounds + Evaluates and manages unassigned OB/GYN patients presenting to the Emergency Department + Responds to consult requests for OB or ED patients across the health system + Serves as first assistant to other physicians upon request **Technology and Professional Development** + Participates in ongoing education and demonstrates a willingness to learn and apply new technologies and clinical procedures relevant to the role + Embraces and effectively utilizes technological tools that support efficient and accurate communication across the care team **JOB REQUIREMENTS Education** • Medical degree (MD or DO) required • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology **Experience** • Minimum 2–5 years of clinical experience in OB/GYN **Licensure/Certification** • Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice • Active DEA certificate • Current BLSPer diem
