Job summary

TEX Environmental seeks dependable field laborers to join our erosion-control crews in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. You’ll install silt fence, inlet protection, blankets, and assist seeding, with hands-on training and pathways to advancement.

Applicants should have reliable attendance and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Pay ranges from $17.00 to $22.00 per hour, with 30–40 hours weekly and potential travel to job sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in erosion-control preferred.
• Experience in civil construction, landscaping, or outdoor labor also preferred.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
• Able to work safely as part of a field crew.
• Willingness to learn installation methods and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain silt fence, erosion logs, inlet protection, blankets, and other BMPs.
• Assist with seeding, mulching, and planting.
• Load/unload materials and organize tools and equipment; dig trenches and post holes as needed.
• Follow Foremen/Superintendents and work effectively as part of a field crew.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly jobsite; follow safety and environmental requirements.
• Travel with the crew to out-of-town projects and stay overnight when required.

TEX Environmental is hiring dependable, hardworking people to join our field crews in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Previous erosion-control experience is preferred, especially experience installing silt fence, erosion logs, inlet protection, blankets, seeding, or similar BMPs. Construction, landscaping, agriculture, and other outdoor field experience are also valuable.Applicants without direct erosion-control experience will still be considered if they have a strong work history, dependable attendance, and a willingness to learn.

This is a hands‑on field position for people who want to develop construction skills, work as part of a crew, and build a long‑term career with a growing environmental contractor.

Primary Responsibilities

• Install and maintain silt fence, erosion logs or wattles, inlet protection, soil‑retention blankets, and other erosion‑control BMPs.
• Assist with seeding, mulching, and planting when assigned.
• Load, unload, carry, stage, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment.Dig shallow trenches and post holes and install stakes, staples, fabric, blankets, and related materials.Safely use hand tools and approved power tools and small equipment after training and authorization.
• Follow instructions from Foremen and Superintendents and work effectively as part of a field crew.
• Maintain jobsites, tools, vehicles, the shop, and yard in a safe and orderly condition.
• Follow company, client, safety, quality, environmental, and jobsite requirements.
• Report unsafe conditions, injuries, spills, damaged tools, and other concerns immediately.
• Travel with the crew to out‑of‑town projects and stay overnight when required.

Qualifications

• Erosion-control experience is preferred.
• Experience in civil construction, landscaping, environmental construction, agriculture, ranching, or other outdoor labor is also preferred.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work safely and productively as part of a field crew.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal, visual, and written instructions.
• Willingness to learn installation methods, tool use, equipment, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Ability and willingness to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.Ability to travel to assigned project locations and work occasional out‑of‑town projects.
• A valid driver's license is required if and when driving is assigned as an essential job duty.English/Spanish bilingual ability is a plus.

Physical & Field Requirements

This is physical outdoor construction work. Employees must be able to work in heat, cold, wind, rain, dust, noise, and changing weather; work on uneven, muddy, rocky, or sloped terrain; frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive movements; frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds; and safely work around construction equipment, traffic, excavations, and active jobsites.

Team lifting or approved mechanical assistance will be used for heavier or awkward materials when appropriate. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified individuals.
