VERITA TELECOMMUNICATIONS is seeking a Laborer in South Boardman, MI to support telecom construction crews with underground fiber installation, trenching, conduit placement, and general labor. The role involves site setup, equipment handling, and safety compliance to ensure projects meet company standards.

The position requires the ability to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors in all weather, and coordinate with crew members. CDL is a plus, and overtime/weekend work may be available.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor throughout shift.
• Comfortable working around heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with underground fiber installation including trenching, hand digging, and conduit placement
• Support directional drill and excavation crews
• Perform job site setup and cleanup
• Locate and expose existing utilities (hand digging / potholing as required)
• Pull, place, and secure fiber optic cables and innerduct
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
• Maintain a safe work environment following OSHA and company safety standards
• Perform traffic control and flagging when required
• Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and small equipment
• Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors

Salary Range: $19.00 To $22.00 Hourly

The Laborersupports telecom construction crews in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground fiber optic and utility infrastructure. This role assists with site preparation, trenching, conduit placement, and general labor duties to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.

Hourly Pay: $19 - $22
