Summary:

Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. Responsibilities include site cleaning and preparation, digging trenches, erecting supports, scaffolding, demolition, and debris removal. Operate hand and power tools, assist craft workers, and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards.
• Erect or dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, or other structures.
• Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools and distribute them accordingly.
• Measure, mark, or record openings or distances for construction layout.
• Tend pumps, compressors, or generators to provide power or heat/material movement.
• Mix, pour, or spread concrete with portable mixers.
• Control traffic around work zones.
• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and level earth to specifications.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and tools.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with OSHA standards.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, follow directions, and maintain punctuality.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of general labor experience.

Physical Demands:

• Lift/push/pull 50-100 lbs occasionally; up to 20 lbs frequently.
• Perform bending, squatting, crawling, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• Work at heights and in various environmental conditions.
• Use personal protective equipment safely.

Environmental Conditions:

• Work in extreme temperatures, wet/humid conditions, and noisy environments.
• Potential exposure to moving equipment, fumes, airborne particles, and high places.
