Summary

Perform physical labor at construction sites. Tasks include site cleaning, trench digging, scaffolding, demolition, and debris removal. Load and unload materials and tools, operate various hand and power tools, and assist other workers. Additional duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare construction sites for safety and efficiency.
2. Erect/dismantle scaffolding, shoring, barricades, ramps, etc.
3. Handle materials and tools, distribute to appropriate locations.
4. Measure and record layout details for construction.
5. Operate pumps, compressors, generators, and mixers.
6. Control traffic around work zones.
7. Dig trenches, backfill, and level earth per specifications.

Knowledge and Skills

• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work safely, follow policies, and maintain punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Effective communication skills.
• Minimum 1 year of general labor experience.

Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions

Lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, work at heights, in extreme temperatures, and in noisy, humid, or outdoor environments. Use PPE as per OSHA standards and respond to verbal commands. Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, and handling materials is required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year record.
• Pass non-DOT and, if applicable, DOT drug screening.
• Background check clearance.
