Job summary

K&R Construction in Doylestown, OH is seeking a dependable Laborer UG to support underground and aerial fiber projects. This is a travel-heavy role with overnight stays and long hours outdoors in all weather. Safety-focused, physically capable individuals are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include assisting with underground and aerial fiber installation, digging, trenching, material handling, and maintaining safe work zones. CDL is a plus; valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or outdoor labor experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 75-100 lbs repeatedly.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel extensively (overnight stays required).
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL is a plus).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with underground and aerial fiber installation projects.
• Support drill operators, linemen, and splicers on job sites.
• Perform hand digging, trenching, conduit placement, and backfilling.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
• Set up and maintain traffic control and safe work zones.
• Operate basic hand and power tools.
• Maintain clean and organized job sites.
• Follow construction prints and supervisor direction.
• Travel to various project locations as required.

We are seeking a dependable and hard-working Laborer UG to support underground and aerial fiber construction projects across multiple markets. This role requires consistent travel and overnight stays. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, physically capable and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Work Environment:

• Outdoor construction sites in various weather conditions
• Physically demanding role requiring lifting, standing, and extended periods of activity
• Long hours ad overtime as needed
• Travel-based work with overnight stays (per diem may be offered depending on project)
