Description
General Services and the Cemetery Division of Parks and Recreation has an immediate opening for a full-time, year-round shared labor truck driver. The employee will work with a team to provide services in the City of Concord, including roads, water systems, and the City's 13 cemeteries.
Department: General Services - Highway and Utilities Division and Parks and Recreation
Work Schedule: Days, Monday - Friday, with required Overtime
Starting Hourly Range: $22.61 to $25.59 (Top of scale: $30.37)

Job Summary: Perform labor involving operating dump trucks and construction equipment for city street, water, sewer, cemetery, and park maintenance. Tasks include traffic control, minor repairs, snow removal, operating various trucks and equipment, grounds maintenance, and cemetery work. Overtime is required.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, six months of experience as a laborer or truck driver, or equivalent. At least one season of golf, grounds, or horticultural maintenance experience. Valid NH Class B CDL with air brake endorsement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Construction and maintenance practices, equipment operation, safety rules, and grounds and utility system maintenance.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/move objects up to 100 lbs, perform strenuous work, and operate in various weather and conditions. Vision and hearing requirements apply.
Conditions: Work may include outdoor weather extremes, mechanical hazards, high places, chemicals, and noise. Overtime during emergencies is expected.
