Job Opportunity: Driver Helper at County Waste

We are seeking a safety-conscious Driver Helper to join our team at the County Waste location in Clifton Park, NY.

This position is ideal for laborers aiming to obtain their CDL license within 6 months, serving as a pipeline to become a CDL driver.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the driver on specified routes by manually collecting solid waste and transporting it to disposal sites.
• Ride on the garbage truck to support customer service, including loading refuse bags and containers.
• Guide the truck driver when backing up.
• Assist with vehicle maintenance.
• Operate packing mechanisms to load waste.
• Maintain cleanliness of the truck and packer blade.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

This is a physically demanding role working outdoors in all weather conditions. The pay rate is $20/hr, with a Monday-Friday day shift and occasional Saturdays.
