Job summary

Texstar Enterprises, LLC is hiring a Laborer III for the Telecom Underground team. You will lead small groups, perform highly skilled construction tasks, and ensure safety and quality across complex underground projects.

The role requires a CDL license, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and the ability to read blueprints and plans. Strong teamwork, adaptability, and a focus on safety are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of underground telecommunications construction experience.
• Advanced knowledge of construction equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, job plans, and technical specifications.
• Ability to work independently and in team environments.
• Willingness to overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Load, deliver, excavate, and operate advanced equipment for underground projects.
• Install and maintain complex underground telecom cable with precision.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor maintenance on construction equipment.
• Assist supervisors with project plans, material management, and task prioritization.
• Provide support to small workgroups to meet project goals on time and safely.
• Complete and verify detailed production reports to maintain records.
• Assist with site restoration, including final grading and landscaping.
• Identify and address potential safety and operational issues proactively.
• Train and mentor Level I and II laborers to improve skills and knowledge.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do

• Must possess a valid CDL license.
• Perform highly skilled construction tasks such as loading, delivering, excavating, and operating advanced equipment for underground projects
• Install and maintain complex underground telecommunications cable with precision and adherence to project specifications
• Operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor maintenance on construction equipment to ensure optimal functionality
• Assist supervisors with project plans, material management, and task prioritization
• Provide support to small workgroups to meet project goals on time and follow safety standards
• Complete and verify detailed production reports to maintain accurate project records
• Assist with site restoration efforts, including final grading and landscaping, to meet client expectations
• Identify and address potential safety and operational issues proactively
• Train and mentor Level I and II laborers to improve their skills and knowledge

What you’ll need
