Job summary

North Sky Communications, LLC is seeking a Laborer II for our Telecom Underground team in Ripon, CA.

You will perform loading, delivery, excavation, and operate advanced underground equipment to install and maintain telecommunications cables in alignment with project specs.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• 2+ years of experience operating construction equipment, utility trucks, or performing similar tasks.
• Strong ability to work independently and contribute in team environments.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed.
• Ability to work safely in all weather conditions.
• Effective communication skills and a proactive problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled construction tasks such as loading, delivering, excavating, and operating advanced equipment for underground projects.
• Install and maintain underground telecommunications cable with precision and adherence to specifications.
• Operate and inspect construction equipment to ensure safety and reliability.
• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to align on project objectives.
• Complete and submit detailed daily production reports to track progress.
• Assist with site restoration, including finishing grading and landscaping to meet client expectations.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies.
• Collaborate with Level I laborers as needed to support projects.

What you’ll do

• Perform highly skilled construction tasks such as loading, delivering, excavating, and operating advanced equipment for underground projects
• Install and maintain complex underground telecommunications cable with precision and adherence to project specifications
• Operate and inspect construction equipment to ensure safety and reliability
• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to align on project objectives

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations and confined spaces with arms above shoulder level. Operate vehicles and heavy machinery. Perform tasks requiring fine hand motion, bending, stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard, and mouse

The wage range for Laborer Telecom Underground II w/CDL is$25.00 - $28.00.
