Qualifications

At C-2 Utility Contractors, as a Laborer on our Telecom Underground team, you’ll participate in all phases of underground construction as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor, including but not limited to: loading, driving delivery, digging, removal, and placement of various types, sizes, and weights of materials to and from the job site, along with various general laborer duties.

What you’ll do as a Laborer

  • Safely transport equipment and materials to various job sites throughout the surrounding areas
  • Load, unload, and secure all cargo in accordance with DOT and company standards
  • Perform construction tasks including loading, delivery, digging, and operating equipment
  • Install underground telecommunications cabling
  • Operate construction equipment and maintain work areas
  • Clearly communicate with all team members
  • Complete daily production reports
  • Assist with site restoration efforts
  • Perform work in all weather conditions
  • Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience
  • Previous experience safely operating various hand tools and utility trucks is preferred
  • Valid driver’s license (Class A CDL preferred)

Physical abilities & exposures

  • Routinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicles and heavy machinery, perform fine hand motions, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift over 55 pounds
  • Occasionally: use ladders

Salary Range: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
